Star City Poet's Society began in Roanoke, Virginia, founded by poet and host Chad City as a welcoming place for people to share original spoken word. From intimate gatherings to community events, the heart of the Society has always been the people who step up to speak and the people who show up to listen.
Now, we're bringing that same spirit to a growing circle of communities across West Virginia and Northern Virginia. The format is simple. The welcome is genuine. And the stories belong to everyone in the room.
